Anti-Piracy-Alliance steals Photo for Ad against Piracy

Will wonders never cease? „The Business Software Alliance“, a group advocating intellectual property rights and fighting software pirates, has been harshly criticized for using non-licensed photos in an online advert. As can be seen from the screenshot below, the stolen photo encourages visitors to report pirated material and thus make money.

The irony of it all lies in the text. It says: “Your pot of gold is right here baby. Report unlicensed software and get paid. The “pot of gold” in the photo is actually a cake of cakecentral-user Bethasd, who is encouraged to sue „The Business Software Alliance“.

Should he decided to sue them, he will then “report unlicensed software and get paid”. And the campaign of TBSA would end up being a huge success. 😛
