Several months ago I’ve created a photo set on Flickr named 5000+ Clicks. At the time I was happy that at least some of my photos were attracting this much attention. As I went through my Flickr stream today, I discovered that there are now over 100 with more than 5000 clicks respectively. On the one hand it gives me great pleasure that the set now consists of so many photos, on the other I find the taste of the “Flickr hive” in some cases questionable to say the least. Personally I find some of the photos that were viewed so many times rather lacklustre and would either, if the opportunity would present itself again, capture them completely differently or not at all. Some photos, which I like very much, have maybe 100-200 clicks…
Of note is also that photos, which were captured by use of equipment relatively new to the market, end up being viewed more often. The photos that I’ve taken with the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Art and DP3M belong to the most viewed. Since I don’t have the 35mm f/1.4 Art that long, photos taken with that particular lens are still below the 5000 mark. 😉
Here my Top 20 among the 5000+ photos.
