Kai Man Wong and the DigitalRevTV team are renowned for their humorous lens and camera reviews. Every so often they shoot a video with the sole purpose to entertain and run down those people who take photography a little bit too seriously. In their latest YouTube video, they give advice on how to act like a professional and be perceived as such. Naturally, most of the tips allude to advice you get from wannabe-professionals in established photo forums. The part dealing with posture and how to hold a camera reminds me of a busybody’s “dissertation”, who insisted his preferred posture is the right one. 😉
Of course, not everything is baloney – pressing both elbows to the body additionally stabilizes the camera and thus contributes to sharper photos. If you liked the embedded video, you should also watch the „Pro Tog, Cheap Camera Challenge“ video series by DigitalRevTV. It is really impressive what genuine pros can get out of cheap, bad cameras.
