I haven’t been doing long exposures for a perceived eternity. The last time must have been in Winter 2012/2013. “Armed” with the SD1 Merrill, the 10-20mm f/3.5, the 18-250mm OS Macro HSM and a tripod, I visited and photographed some of the most beautiful city areas of Belgrade, such as the pedestrian areas at Zemun Markt and the river Save with its party rafts. The photos I’ll show you today are distinctly less impressive and rather to be seen as a little DP2 Quattro aptitude test for long exposure. On the one hand, I am not as capable of suffering hours of walking in low temperatures with a backpack full of photo equipment as I used to be, on the other hand, the DP2Q’s focal length of 45mm (FF equivalent) is not quite predestined for architectural photography and cityscapes. 😉 Ultra wide angle is far better suited for this kind of photography. And so are telephoto lenses, but for detailed images from afar.
I uploaded all images as 20 megapixel JPGs on Flickr. Just click on the photo to view it in full size. 🙂
