His images tell a story – they lead the observer into other worlds. His extravagant creations are dreamy and romantic and his style is unique – I’m speaking of TIM WALKER.
For all of you interested in the field of fashion photography his name is essential. For many years he’s been taking pictures for magazines like Vogue, Love Magazine or W Magazine on a regular basis. Tim Walker was born in England in 1970. From early on he was interested in photography and after his university graduation he moved to New York and became a full time assistant of Richard Avedon. Back in England he kept working for a newspaper for which he shot portraits but also photo stories until he did his first fashion photo shooting for Vogue at the age of 25. Many more shootings for famous magazines followed up and the name Time Walker became more and more popular. In 2012 the book “Story Teller” was published (by Thames and Hudson) and at the same time there was a big exhibition with Tim Walker’s latest works. I really enjoy paging through the book again and again and that’s why I’d now like to show you some pictures in it:
