The first making-of pictures in the new Pirelli Calendar 2018

Everyone who’s a bit interested in photography will come across this particular calendar: Of course, I’m talking about the Pirelli Calendar!

This exclusive photo calendar, which is edited by Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli, was published for the first time in 1964.

The calendar can’t be bought like any other product but is exclusively delivered to a selected group of friends of the company. In the course of time it has thus become a trademark for erotic photography.

Every year another renowned photographer shoots diverse subjects. The list of selected photographers includes names like Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton and Steve McCurry. In the last two years Annie Leibovitz and Peter Lindbergh took pictures as well. They already shot for the second or third time and thus helped to create the calendar.

The list of selected models includes names as popular as those of the photographers. Every year Pirelli features top models such as Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, Adriana Lima or Alessandra Ambrosio.

In 2018, another star in the sky of photography will do the job. This time “storyteller” Tim Walker will do the shootings!

This year – as it was the case in the past few years already (e.g. with Annie Leibovitz in 2016 and Peter Lindbergh in 2017) – more art and less skin will be shown. The lavish settings have been inspired by the children’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. 17 models will pose for the camera and they will not only be models but also celebrities in the film and music industry.

This week the first making-of pictures were published in a press release and in any case we’re very excited! But just take a look for yourselves:
