Do you also belong to those people who get terribly annoyed when something isn’t in line with aesthetics? An uneven tile, for instance, which is too short at one end and thus destroys the entire spatial harmony. Well, I definitely belong to those people! 😉
I’m also not the only person who feels like this. In the social media we can often find some image series that drive visual perfectionists like me crazy.
The exact opposite effect we can find in the photos taken by Daniel Rueda and Anna Devis. Their Instagram accounts almost have a meditative impact on me. Harmonious colors, flowing soft lines and a bunch of creative ideas. That’s how I’d describe their photos. For the couple, architecture doesn’t only play an essential role for the background of their pictures. Both hobby photographers are actually architects and their love for architecture can be felt in each of their photos very strongly.
With their style, which both describe as “creativity-driven minimalistic architectural self-portraits”, they satisfy the taste of thousands of people and, as I’ve already mentioned, I can’t get tired of looking at them.

Not so long ago the two photographers also published a behind-the-scenes video online. There they look incredibly attractive and you can see right away that they have a great deal of fun with what they do. Beyond that, the video also shows clearly what great efforts it takes to create minimalistic pictures. The photographers have to pay attention to the smallest detail and they invest a lot of time in planning and preparation. I warmly recommend you watching the video because it has really inspired me on a personal level.
Have you already heard of the couple and what do you think of their pictures?
