Here comes another award for Sigma!

Or, to be more exact, two awards! A couple of days ago the TIPA Awards were awarded and once again SIGMA was able to convince with its new product series. Thus the company’s success story of the past few years when it received two or, respectively, three awards continues.

By now, all of you know for sure what the TIPA Awards are and who awards them. I’ll tell you once again though: The TIPA Member Magazines founded this particular award in order to create a prize of which the photo industry can be proud. Only products that, according to the general council meeting, are considered good enough, are included in the voting. Every year the journalists select the best photographic products. Factors such as innovation, the application of cutting-edge technologies, design, ergonomics, user-friendliness and the price-performance ratio are taken into account. The list of the TIPA Award categories is regularly updated, depending on technological innovations on the market. This year 40 prizes were awarded – ranging from the best DSLR wide-angle lens to the best online printing service almost everything is included.

SIGMA’s winning lenses for 2018 are:

  1. SIGMA 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art (Title of the award: BEST DSLR WIDE ANGLE ZOOM LENS)
This particular lens convinces with its high level of sharpness and an image reproduction almost without any distortions. It comes with a fast and highly precise AF which perfectly matches today’s high-resolution cameras.

  1. SIGMA 24-70 mm F2,8 DG OS HSM | Art (Title of the award: BEST DSLR STANDARD ZOOM LENS)
For many photographers a 24-70 mm range of fixed focus lengths has become a standard lens for a number of subjects and scenarios. From street-life to documentary, portrait and wildlife photography everything is possible with this lens.

I’m already looking forward to testing both lenses! I’m very thrilled about the winners of the tests! Have you had any experiences with these lenses so far?

All the best,

yours,

Tamara
